Petey and Furends Welcomes the DC Paws Community!

Dear Petey and Furends Family,

We hope that you are having a great start to 2022. Here at Petey and Furends we’ve been very busy and are happy to share some big news with you all. Over the past several months we have been working closely with DC Paws, a local animal rescue, and together we have decided to join forces. 

DC Paws was founded in 2015 by a passionate group of individuals with the primary mission of saving dogs and cats from rural shelters. They differentiate themselves from other area rescues because of their high touch nature and deep behavioral and medical expertise. Additionally, they invest heavily in the medical and behavioral needs of their animals and don’t shy away from the tough medical cases, seniors and animals in need of training.  This may all sound familiar to you as it aligns directly with the mission of Petey and Furends.  

Petey and Furends, will be welcoming all of the DC Paws animals, volunteers, and fosters into our community in an effort to continue expanding our lifesaving mission.

We are honored to have been trusted to carry on the DC Paws legacy and are certain that this will only mean positive things for our rescue family in moving forward. By leveraging the strengths of each organization, we can raise the bar on animal rescue and achieve even more together.
