Story: Tater was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. We are so happy to have him safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Tater had a rough start to life and came from an abuse situation and is still decompressing now that he’s safe and sound. He’s trusting of women, but at this time he’s not comfortable with men. That said, he’s making great progress each day and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Tater would do best in a home without cats. Tater is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Tater will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive!
What my foster says: Tater (aka Tate) is a sweet and silly boy who loves to spend time with his people. He enjoys walks and exploring the backyard. Tater is also a snuggle bug, happy to watch TV or sit on your lap while you work. Tater will benefit from a quiet home where his people are there to shower him with affection. For a little guy, he is protective of his family at home and on walks. Tate has a big dog attitude in a little dog package. Favorites: naps in the sun, soft plush toys, walks, and your lap.
The fee to adopt Tater is $475. That covers the cost of all his vaccines, his neuter, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. He’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.
